Dosage: 1 gram of omega-3s (330 mg EPA plus 660 mg DHA) per day, 2,000 IU of vitamin D per day, and 30 minutes of strength training exercises three times per week

While omega-3 supplementation slows biological aging, adding vitamin D and exercise further slows biological aging.

New Study Suggests Combining Senolytics with Blood Pressure Medication Counteracts an Aging Gut

Carvedilol, a blood pressure medication, and the senolytic agent ABT-263 both attenuate cellular senescence—an age-related, dysfunctional cellular state—driven by a gut bacterial metabolite in mice.

Participants: Healthy older adults 
Dosage: 4 × 5 g/day of creatine monohydrate for 5 days, followed by 1 × 5 g/day for 23 days

Creatine improves vascular health while lowering blood glucose and triglyceride levels in older adults.

Model: 9-month-old male rats 
Dosage: 20 mg/kg of ergothioneine for three weeks

Ergothioneine — a naturally occurring compound found in mushrooms — increases the muscle size of middle-aged rats while extending the lifespan of worms.
