According to a new senate bill, funding is being allocated towards research focused on delaying or reversing aging with a new technology called epigenetic reprogramming — genetically restoring cells to an earlier stage of development.

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) supplementation substantially prolongs lifespan and suppresses senescence — an age-related, dysfunctional cellular state — in the fat tissue of mice.

EGCG supplementation over 18 months increases median lifespan by ~25% and significantly lowers fat tissue senescence in mice.
